Why is my Zephyr AK6000 Ventilation Hood so noisy?
    • E
      Elizabeth JonesSep 2, 2025
Zephyr Ventilation Hood blowers are designed to perform up to 695 cfm. A properly functioning motor itself should be relatively quiet. Nevertheless, due to vacuum created by the suction, noise levels up to 5.5 sones can occur when both blowers are on maximum speed. Use both blowers at maximum speed only when needed. Employing low speeds or a single blower will suffice moderate cooking.

How to fix a Zephyr AK6000 with weak blowers?
    • T
      Thomas BernardSep 1, 2025
If the blowers on your Zephyr Ventilation Hood seem weak, the tubes connected to the internal housing might be clogged due to lack of cleaning, or the hood might not have been leveled during installation. Unclog the tubes.

What to do if cooking fumes are not reaching the Zephyr Ventilation Hood blowers?
    • G
      gestradaAug 29, 2025
If cooking fumes and smoke dissipate before reaching the Zephyr Ventilation Hood blower, ensure the unit is installed at the recommended height and covers the entire cooking area. Also, opening doors and windows might distract airflow. For heavy cooking, make sure the blowers are on high speed.

Why is my Zephyr Ventilation Hood vibrating when blowers are on?
    • A
      Alec TuckerAug 28, 2025
Vibration in your Zephyr Ventilation Hood when the blowers are on may occur because the unit isn't properly secured to the cabinet, or the cabinet itself needs better securing to the wall studs.
