1. Opentheappropriateapplicationandselectthefileoritemyouwanttoshare.
2. SelecttheoptionforsharingviaWi-FiDirect.Themethodmayvarybyapplicationanddata
type.
3. Touchadevicethephonehasconnectedwithorwaitforittosearchfornewdevicesandtouch
oneofthem.
Receive Data via Wi-Fi Direct
WhenanattempttotransferdataviaWi-FiDirectisreceived,youcanseeanotificationinthestatus
bar.OpentheWi-FiDirectsharenotification,andtouchAccepttostartreceivingthedata.
Receivedfilesarestoredautomaticallyinadedicatedfolder(WiFiShare,forinstance).Youcan
accessthemwiththeFileManagerapp.
Portable Hotspot
PortableHotspotallowsyoutoturnyourphoneintoaWi-Fihotspot.Whenthisfeatureisturnedon,
youcanshareyourphone'smobiledataservicesviaWi-FiwithotherWi-Fienableddevices.The
featureworksbestwhenusedinconjunctionwiththeEnhancedLTEdataservices(although3G
servicecanalsobeused).
Important:UseoftheHotspotfeaturemayrequireanadditionalsubscription.Visit
boostmobile.comoraccessyouraccountviaBoostZone(touch >Boost Zone)tolearnmore.
Note:TurningonHotspotwilldisableyourphone'sconnectiontootherWi-Finetworks.
Enable Portable Hotspot
Followtheinstructionsbelowtoenabletheportablehotspot.

Touch > >Settings>Portable Hotspot.
2. TouchtheWi-Fihotspotslidertoactivatetheservice.Afteramoment,thephonestarts
broadcastingitsWi-Finetworkname(SSID).
l UsingboththeEnhancedLTEserviceandhotspotdrainsyourphone’sbatteryatamuch
fasterratethanwhenusinganyotherfeaturecombination.
Note: Thebestwaytokeepusingthephoneasahotspotistohaveitconnectedtoapowersupply.
Configure Portable Hotspot
Youcanchangethenameofyourphone'sWi-Finetworkname(SSID)andsecureyourportable
Wi-Fihotspot.
