Connection settings7.
To ensure that the modem can connect to the Internet properly, you should configure the
connection information first. To display the Connection interface do as follows:
Click 1.

In the navigation tree, click 2. Connection.
NOTE:
For details about setting the profile, contact your service provider.
Creating a new Configuration
Click 1. Add to set the a new Configuration name, access number, user name,
password, Access Point Name (APN) and APN status
Click 2. Advance tab to set the IP information, authentication protocol, Domain Name
Server (DNS) and PDP type
Click 3. Apply to save the advanced settings and return to the Connection interface.
NOTE:
If network supports “Obtain PDP server address automatically”, the modem can obtain the
assigned IP information automatically. If network does not support it, you should input the
proper address manually. Please consult the network supplier of the SIM card for all above
information. The confi-guration information may vary due to the different network suppliers
and network types.
Editing a Configuration
Select a configuration in the 1. Configuration name list.
Click 2. Edit to modify the profile name, access number, user name, password, APN
name.
Click 3. Advance tab to set the IP information, authentication protocol, DNS and PDP
type.
Click 4. Apply to save the advanced settings and return to the Connection interface.
