Using the Notications panel
The Notications panel provides quick access
to alerts including new messages, emails, and
software updates.
To open the Notications panel, swipe your nger
down from the top of the screen.
To close the Notications panel, swipe your nger
up from the bottom of the screen or tap .
Respond to or remove a notication
You can respond to or remove notications in
the Notications panel. The panel also supports
expandable notications that let you perform
additional actions.
To respond to a notication, tap it.
To expand a notication, slide down with
one nger. You can also swipe two ngers
vertically or pinch/zoom to expand or collapse
certain notications.
To remove a notication, swipe it left or right.
To remove all notications, tap in the top right corner.
To turn off notications from an application, tap and hold a notication and
then tap App info. Uncheck Show notications in the app info screen.
Most apps that send notications, such as Gmail and Google+, have
notication settings that you can adjust.
Note: If you turn off notications for an app, you may miss important alerts
and updates. The notications of some apps cannot be turned off.
