Theeyesarenothurtifyougazeatthebaredopticalbertipsordamagedopticalberin
adistanceof150mm.Buttheeyesmaybehurtifyouobservethebaredopticalbertip
withamicroscope,amagnieroraloupe.

lProhibittogazeatthebareopticalberortheconnectortipsbeforetheopticalsource
issurelyswitchedoff.
lMeasuretheopticalpowerintheopticalberwithanopticalpowermetertomake
suretheopticalsourceisswitchedoff.
lWhenopeningthefrontdooroftheopticalbertransmissionsystem,becarefulto
avoidthelaserradiation.
lProhibittouseopticalinstrumentincludingthemicroscope,themagnierortheloupe
toobservetheopticalberconnectorortheopticalbertips.

lMakesuretheopticalberandopticalsourceisdisconnectedbeforeshear,fuseand

connectorswiththeopticalbercaps.
