Overview

This document is a user manual for the Zupapa Inflatable SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard), providing comprehensive guidelines for its assembly, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The manual emphasizes safety instructions and aims to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for users.

Function Description:

The Zupapa Inflatable SUP is designed for recreational sports and leisure activities on water. It allows users to paddle with family and friends, including pets, offering a fun and healthy outdoor experience. The inflatable nature of the SUP makes it portable and easy to store, suitable for various water environments. It is constructed from double-layer military-grade materials, ensuring it is lightweight yet sturdy and durable. The non-slip paddling top, fully covered by EVA, provides a soft and comfortable surface for safer and more enjoyable paddling. The SUP is capable of carrying up to 350 pounds, accommodating multiple users.

Usage Features:

The manual outlines detailed steps for setting up and using the inflatable SUP. Before assembly, users are instructed to verify all parts against the provided list and inspect and tighten the valve. The foot bar should be installed before inflating the paddleboard.

Inflation:

The inflation process involves connecting the air pump hose to the "IN" port of the pump and the valve of the paddleboard. The valve stem should be locked in the "up" position. The manual specifies that the PSI reading should not exceed 15 PSI, with 12-13 PSI recommended for hot weather and up to 15 PSI for cool weather. The pump shows no reading for 0-5 PSI. Users can adjust the Green Lever on the pump to switch between "SINGLE ACTION" for easier inflation up to 8 PSI and "DOUBLE ACTION" for faster inflation above 8 PSI.

Assembly of Accessories:

The manual provides instructions for assembling shoulder straps, fins, and the paddle.

  • Shoulder Straps: Two straps are twisted around the widest part of the board and fastened with buckles. A third strap connects these two, allowing for comfortable carrying.
  • Fins: The three fins are slid into their respective slots, then locked and tightened with screws.
  • Paddle: The paddle can be assembled using either Paddle Bar B or Paddle B. Paddle Bar A connects to Paddle A by pressing down and locking a button. Paddle Bar B then connects to Paddle Bar A, with a bracket on the shaft facilitating the connection. The completed paddle can be fixed to the shoulder strap using Velcro.

Kayak Seat Assembly (for models with a seat):

For models equipped with a kayak seat, the seat is placed on the board. The two lower straps are tied to the D-rings behind the backrest, and the two upper straps are tied to the D-rings beside the seat. The straps can be adjusted for comfort. A crucial safety note advises against sitting on the SUP with fins assembled while it is on the ground, as this can damage the equipment and void the warranty.

Locking the SUP:

The manual describes a method to temporarily secure the SUP. For models with a seat, a free Paddle Keeper is provided. Users without a seat model need to acquire their own Paddle Keeper. The locking mechanism involves securing the SUP to a fixed object, preventing unauthorized removal.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is crucial for extending the lifespan of the Zupapa Inflatable SUP. The manual outlines several key aspects of daily care:

Proper Pressure:

The recommended pressure range is 12-15 PSI. Users are warned NEVER to exceed this range, as it can permanently damage the board and void the warranty. Before each use, the pressure should be checked. Before storing, the pressure should be slightly lowered. Important guidelines include:

  • Do not inflate with an unregulated air compressor.
  • Do not use the equipment beyond the recommended pressure.
  • Do not transport the equipment when fully pressurized.
  • Avoid transporting the equipment from low to high altitudes, as this can increase air pressure and cause damage.

Board Maintenance:

Protecting the board from direct sunlight is emphasized:

  • Avoid direct exposure to strong sunlight whenever possible.
  • Cover or shade the board when leaving it outdoors temporarily.
  • Do not store the board in a sealed vehicle, especially in summer, as temperatures can rise significantly.
  • Rinse the board with fresh water after each use and dry it thoroughly.
  • Before rolling up the board, extract the air using the air pump connected to the "OUT" side.
  • Roll up the board from the side with the valve, then wrap the belt and fasten the buckle.
  • Store the board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting:

The manual includes a troubleshooting section for common issues:

Leaking:

If unusual sounds or scratches are found, indicating a potential leak from the valve or paddling top:

  • Valve Inspection & Repair: Pour soapy water over the valve to check for bubbles, which confirm a leak.
    • First, inspect and tighten the valve using the wrench tool, turning it clockwise until it cannot move.
    • If the leak persists, open the valve with the wrench tool and check if the drop stitch is misplaced. If so, reposition it and tighten the valve. Video tutorials are suggested for further guidance.
  • Paddling Top Inspection & Repair: If the valve is confirmed to be in good condition, inspect the paddling top for scratches. If scratches are found, use the repair patch (from the Tool Kit) and PVC glue to fix them. After repair, wait 24 hours before re-inflating and re-testing.

No Readings (from the pump):

If the pump shows no readings or stops showing readings:

  • The pump typically shows no readings for 0-5 PSI. It takes about 2 minutes for readings to appear.
  • Continue inflating with "DOUBLE ACTION" to see if readings appear once the board is inflated over 5 PSI.
  • If the pump still shows no readings after continued inflation, contact customer support.

Stop Showing Readings (during inflation):

If the pump stops showing readings while inflating, switch the pump to "SINGLE ACTION." This makes inflation easier and helps in observing changes in readings, especially when the board appears fully inflated.

Missing Adapter:

If the pump adapter is missing, check the Tool Kit, as it is packed with the wrench tool and repair patches. If still missing, contact customer support for a replacement.

Paddle Not Tightly Connected:

If the paddle feels loose, adjust the black locking pin on the top of Paddle Bar A. Video tutorials are also suggested for adjusting the paddle pole.
