9.2.5 Line Truncation
All lines shall be truncated to 70 characters if the original line length exceeds 70 characters. No trailing,
padding or matching of line lengths shall be performed.
9.2.6 Vertical Alignment - (multiple line documents)
Vertical alignment of characters shall be kept. The relative orientation of lines shall be maintained by padding
the front of lines and/or embedded spaces with the "*" character.
Example 1. Lines read as
0123456789ABC...........................WXYZ
345678 BC...........................WXYZ
are transmitted as
<STX>"0"<CR>"0123456789ABC....................WXYZ"<CR>
"***345678**BC....................WXYZ"<CR><ETX>
Example 2. lines read as
01234 89

are transmitted as
<STX>"0"<CR>

9.2.7 Jumper Settings (connector J6)
The baud rate is set by jumpers 7 and 8:
4800 9600 19200 38400
Jumper 7 off on off on
Jumper 8 off off on on
Debug mode may be enabled by placing a link on jumper 5 (useful for a quick functional test as it sends a
power up message).
All other links should be left off except for jumpers 2 and 3 which must be on.
