10.4 Using Hostess To Enter Download Mode
If your firmware does not support jumper initiated program download or you cannot gain access to the jumpers
then you must follow this procedure:
- Check baud rate, parity and number of data bits of the module in normal operation (e.g. use
HyperTerminal).
- Start Hostess on the correct COM port as above.
- Use option 13 to set the serial parameters to match the PCB.
- Use option 10 or 11 to enter program download mode.
- Check download mode is entered using option 1.
- Use option 12 to change both baud rates to 19200.
- Continue from point 8 in section 10.3 above.
