5. Inspect the volume of the anode. When the anode is consumed for 60 % or more,
replace the anode.

If the anode needs to be replaced, alw
ays use an anode of the same type. Please
refer to the type and the serial number on the data plate.
6. Place the anode in the water heater.
7. Use a wrench to fasten the anode. Make sure that the connection is watertight.

9.2.2 Descale the tank
Note
Hard w
ater may cause the formation of limescale, which will reduce the operating
efficiency and may cause early product failure. Failure of the water heater due to
limescale or other deposits would not be classed as manufacturing defect and as such
would not be covered under the terms of the
warranty (on page 3).

Before reassembly replace the gask
ets. You must order these gaskets at your supplier.
Look at the data plate for the correct ordering information.
To descale and clean the tank:
1. Decommision the water heater (see 8.7).
2. Open the door of the water heater.

e cables inside! Switch off the power supply completely (on local isolator) before
opening the outer door to access the electrical components.
3. Remove the isolating material.
