3.1 Overview
The control compartment incorporates the hardware for the control,
monitoring and protection functions of the drive, and the
communication interfaces to the local control panel and to the remote
control devices.
Depending on the control concept of the drive sys-
tem, the remote control devices include a higher-
level control system and / or remote operator sta-
tions.
