48 Maintenance
Operation practices:
• The system is certified to an operating temperature of -40 °C–+60 °C.
• The weight limit for the hoisting equipment is 200 kg (rated load).
• Do not lift persons with the hoisting system.
• Do not side-lift or drag any equipment with the hoisting equipment.
• Do not use in corrosive atmosphere.
• The operator is responsible for all actions during lifting.
• The operator will accept orders from only designated persons. The only exception to
this is to obey the command “stop” at any time, from any source.
• If there is any deviation to the hoists, chains, or beams during the lifting, abort the
lifting process, and lockout and tagout the lifting equipment for further inspection.
• Never leave a load hanging on the hoists. Lower the load to ground if you need to
interrupt or abort the lifting process (if possible and/or safe), and store the hoists.
Never leave a suspended load unattended.
• Stay clear of the lifting area during the lifting. Make sure other personnel do not
wander into the lifting area during the lifting.
Maintaining the hoisting equipment
Check the following items on the hoist during maintenance:
• Structural members for deformation, cracks, or wear.
• Loose or missing guards, fasteners, covers, stops, or nameplates/labels.
• All functioning mechanisms, hold and release mechanisms, and adjustments.
• Loose bolts or fasteners.
• Cracked or worn gears, chains, bearings, sprockets, and so on.
• Wear on the hoisting hooks and load support clevises and pins.
