Robotic station for packing FFS1 dispensers
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The robotic station for packing dispensers carries out the technological
process, starting from the automatic unloading of dispensers from boxes onto a chain
conveyor, through the orientation of dispensers, to packing dispensers into blisters.
The robot can be retooled at the station, which allows for packing dispensers in
various configurations - 8 dispensers/cycle (4s recipe) or 16 dispensers/cycle (8s
recipe). The stand is located on the FFS1 (Farmores 1) production line at Gillette in
Łódź.
The application is divided into two zones. Zone 1 includes a station for
unloading dispensers from crates onto a chain conveyor, while Zone 2 includes a
robotic cell for packing dispensers into blisters.
Zone 1 includes:
➢ Two gravity roller feeders – positioned in mirror image.
➢ A set of actuators implementing a discrete process.
➢ Set of optical sensors.
➢ Chain conveyors transporting dispensers to the packaging area.
Zone 2 includes:
➢ ABB IRB 360 robot with two grippers (replaceable) - the task is to transfer
dispensers from transporters to blisters located on an independent
transporter. Depending on the desired configuration, a given gripper
transports 8 or 16 dispensers per cycle (4s or 8s mode).
