2.5.4 Grounding Probes (2 required)
The grounding probe shown in Figure 2-8 can be substituted for grounding rings in many applications
when non-conductive or electrically insulated pipe is used. The pipeline must be drilled and tapped
as shown in Figure 2-8, with the grounding probes installed adjacent
to each of the pipeline mounting
flanges. Connect a grounding strap or wire from each probe to the meter flanges.
