Product Usage
The device allows operating from
Z-Wave capable remote controls or

without any involvement of a
Z-Wave controller. Important note:
this procedure should only be used
when the primary controller is
inoperable.

What is SmartStart?
SmartStart enabled products can be
added into a Z-Wave
network by scanning the Z-Wave QR
Code present on the product with
a controller providing SmartStart
inclusion. No further action is requi-

minutes of being switched on in the
network vicinity.
Firmware Update
It is possible to update the Z-Wave
Controller in the actuator. Check
with the manufacturer of your
primary Z-Wave controller for the
procedure.
Basic process:
1. Start the update process in the
primary Z-Wave controller.
