Jumper Setting
This section explains how to set the jumper for correct configuration of the main board.
Jumpers with more than one pin are numbered. When setting
a jumper, ensure that the jumper caps are
placed on the correct pins.
The following illustration shows the loca
tion of the jumpers.
The following table shows the settings of the Clear CMOS and ME Disable jumper. Place the jumper cap on
pin
s 1 and 2 to close or short the jumper. Place the jumper cap on pins 2 and 3 to open or clear the jumper.
Jumper Type Description Setting (default)
Clear CMOS 3-pin Clear CMOS 1-2: Normal operation (default)
2-3: Clear CMOS data
Before clearing the CMOS, make
sure to t
urn off the system. See
“Clearing CMOS” section on page 74
for detailed instruction.
ME Disable 3-pin Disable ME 1-2: Normal operation (default)
2-3: ME disable
