What to do if my ActronAir Air Conditioner system does not start?
    • C
      Charles JarvisAug 18, 2025
If your ActronAir Air Conditioner system doesn't start, there are a few things to check. First, built-in safety timers may be activated; allow up to 5 minutes for the system to start after turning it on. Next, check the circuit breakers to ensure none have tripped. Make sure the thermostat setpoint is correctly adjusted: lower it for cooling or raise it for heating. Finally, verify the master wall control timer settings are properly configured.

What to do if ActronAir Air Conditioner compressor is operating but not cooling?
    • D
      Dean PattonAug 20, 2025
If the compressor in your ActronAir Air Conditioner is running but the system isn't cooling, check the temperature settings to ensure you are not in heating mode. Also, test the reversing valve to see if it has switched between heating and cooling.

Why does the outdoor coil keep freezing over on my ActronAir Air Conditioner?
    • D
      Donna WilsonAug 26, 2025
If the outdoor coil of your ActronAir Air Conditioner keeps freezing over, check the sensor resistance of the outdoor coil sensor. Also, test the reversing valve operation to ensure it is not jammed. Finally, remove any obstructions on the outdoor unit that may be contributing to the issue.

How to get rid of odour in room when ActronAir Air Conditioner is turned on?
    • E
      Emily WebbAug 28, 2025
If there's an odor when you turn on your ActronAir Air Conditioner, it could be due to several reasons. The indoor unit might have absorbed smells from the conditioned space, such as cigarette smoke or cooking odors; in this case, it's recommended to have the indoor unit washed by a technician. Additionally, check if a P-Trap is installed; if not, re-pipe the drain with one. If a P-Trap is present but dry, contact your installer to carry out a general service and fill the P-Trap.

Why set temperature cannot be adjusted on ActronAir Air Conditioner?
    • S
      Sandra HillAug 30, 2025
If the set temperature on your ActronAir Air Conditioner cannot be adjusted, it might be because the wall control set temperature limits are being exceeded. Check that the upper and lower temperature limits are set correctly.

Why is only one condenser fan working on my ActronAir Air Conditioner?
    • S
      Stephanie HurleySep 2, 2025
If only one condenser fan is working on your ActronAir Air Conditioner, test the fan motor resistance. Also, test the capacitor microfarad reading and the PCB output voltage.

Why is steam emitted from my ActronAir Air Conditioner outdoor unit?
    • D
      David BryanSep 4, 2025
If you notice steam emitting from the outdoor unit of your ActronAir Air Conditioner, it's likely due to one of two normal operations. The unit may be going through a defrost cycle during heating, which is normal in cold conditions. Alternatively, it could be condensation of water on the outdoor coil during heating operation. Optional drip trays can be purchased to drain the excess water.

How to make ActronAir Air Conditioner compressor operate at 100% capacity?
    • P
      Paula JohnsonSep 7, 2025
To make your ActronAir Air Conditioner compressor operate at 100% capacity, adjust the wall control temperature to create a large differential. This will run the system at full capacity until the temperature is within 4°C of the setpoint. Note that the system will not operate at 100% capacity if it's under Anti Freeze or Overheat Protection. So, adjust the set point less than or greater than 4°C of the indoor temperature depending on the mode of operation.

Why is airflow hunting during Auto and Self Learn Mode on ActronAir Air Conditioner?
    • K
      Kent WrightSep 9, 2025
If your ActronAir Air Conditioner experiences airflow hunting during Auto and Self Learn Mode, it could be due to excessive static in the ductwork, which may have changed since the self-learn was performed. This can be caused by deteriorating ducts, a dirty filter, or changes in the duct layout. To resolve this, reduce static where possible, referring to the installation guidelines on duct installation. Clean the filter and re-perform the self-learn.

Why can I hear occasional hissing noise during heating cycle of ActronAir Air Conditioner?
    • A
      andrewsuttonSep 12, 2025
The occasional hissing noise heard during the heating cycle of your ActronAir Air Conditioner is the sound of the gas changing direction as the system goes through a defrost cycle. This is a normal function.
