8. Coat a new O-ring with engine oil, then install it.
9. Clean and dry the mating surface of the valve.
10. Install the valve.
VTEC SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the VTEC solenoid valve connector and the VTEC oil pressure switch connector.
2. Remove the VTEC solenoid valve assembly from the cylinder head (see VTEC SOLENOID VALVE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
3. Measure resistance between VTEC solenoid valve connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
Resistance: 14-30 ohm
NOTE: Do not install the valve while wearing fiberous cloth gloves. Be careful not
to contaminate the cylinder head opening.
