Function Description:
The Flat Par QA12XS is designed to produce multi-color light output with electronic dimming from 0-100%. It incorporates a built-in microphone for sound-active operation. The fixture supports DMX-512 protocol with 3-pin DMX connections and offers eight DMX modes: 1 Channel, 2 Channel, 3 Channel, 4 Channel, 5 Channel, 6 Channel, 7 Channel, and 8 Channel modes, providing extensive control over its features. A snoot frame is included to help limit unwanted light exposure, enhancing beam control. The unit is also compatible with the ADJ LED RC 2 remote control (sold separately), which provides comprehensive control over its functions, including blackout, program selection (static color, color fade, color change, and combined modes), flash (strobe), speed adjustment for various modes, and DMX mode selection.

Usage Features:
- Mounting: The Flat Par QA12XS can be mounted in three different positions: hanging upside-down from a ceiling, hanging sideways on trussing, or placed on a flat level surface. It should be mounted using a mounting clamp (not provided) affixed to the provided mounting bracket. A safety cable (not provided) capable of holding 12 times the unit's weight must always be used.
- DMX Control: The fixture supports DMX-512 protocol, allowing control via a standard DMX controller. DMX data is transmitted via 3-pin XLR connectors (DATA "IN" and DATA "OUT"). For longer cable runs, a DMX terminator (110-120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor between pins 2 and 3 of a male XLR connector) is recommended to prevent erratic behavior.

- Sound Active Mode: The unit reacts to sound with 16 selectable sound active programs. Sound sensitivity is adjustable (SJ-1 being least sensitive, SJ-8 most sensitive).
- Static Color Mode: Offers 15 static colors. Strobing can be activated and adjusted (FS.00 for off, FS.15 for fastest).
- Auto Mode: Three Auto Modes are available: Color Fade (16 modes), Color Change (16 modes), and a combination of both. Running speed is adjustable (SP.01 for slowest, SP.16 for fastest).

Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Regular cleaning of internal and external optical lenses is necessary to optimize light output, especially due to fog residue, smoke, and dust. The external casing can be cleaned with normal glass cleaner and a soft cloth. External optics should be cleaned every 20 days. All parts must be completely dry before plugging the unit back in.
- Fuse Replacement: The fuse is located inside the power socket. It can be replaced by gently prying out the fuse holder with a flat-head screwdriver. A spare fuse holder is also provided.
- User Serviceable Parts: There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Any repairs should only be attempted by qualified service personnel to avoid voiding the warranty.
- Warranty: The Flat Par QA12XS comes with a 2-year limited warranty. For service, a Return Authorization (RA#) must be obtained from ADJ Products, LLC.
- Energy Saving: Users are encouraged to turn off all electrical products when not in use and disconnect them from power to avoid idle mode power consumption, in line with Europe Energy Saving Notice (EuP 2009/125/EC).
