One of fourteen Įxed Ɵme bands can be selected. The Įxed
delay bands are listed in Table 2.8. The bands and slopes are
depicted as Time Current Diagram in appendix 6.1 of this
ApplicaƟon manual.
The Mpro N type Trip Unit can opƟonally be equipped with a
system that allows full selecƟvity independent of the chosen
breaker seƫngs. (ZSI)
Zone-selecƟve interlocking coordinates breakers so that the
downstream breaker is allowed the Įrst opportunity to clear a
fault or overload event. ZSI interlocks & coordinates reacƟons to
a fault on the short-Ɵme (ST), instantaneous (I), and
ground faults (GF) devices.
The Zone Select Interlock (ZSI) funcƟon operates with a group of
series-connected breakers and can only be used when a +24VDC
auxiliary power supply is available.
In cases when more than 4 outgoing breakers need to be
coordinated with one or more mains or incoming breakers the
use of a interconnecƟon device or mulƟplier is strongly
recommended. The AEG TIM device (Catalogue number
--TIM1--) can be used for these kind of applicaƟons. This device
also requires a +24VDC control voltage power supply.
When a ZSI input is received an upstream breaker will not use
the standard ST ZSI and/or GF ZSI delay band and slope seƫng.
It will automaƟcally use a 2nd set of seƫngs that the user can
individually set for use when ZSI is ON. When the ZSI input is
cancelled the breaker will revert to it's standard seƫng.v
