Overview

This document is an instruction manual for the Aeratron AE+2 and AE+3 ceiling fans, covering user manual and installation guide for models with a metal hanger bracket and safety cord.

Function Description:

The Aeratron AE+2 and AE+3 are ceiling fans designed to provide airflow for cooling and to assist in circulating warm air during winter. They are equipped with a DC motor and can be controlled via a remote control. Optional accessories include an LED light kit, ceiling extension kits for various ceiling heights, and a raked ceiling kit for sloped ceilings. The fans are designed with a self-balancing system and a unique blade profile with winglets to reduce turbulence, providing more airflow with less energy and operating silently.

  • Remote Control Functions:
    • Fan ON/OFF
    • Fan Speed UP/DOWN (6 speed indicators)
    • Forward / Reverse mode (counterclockwise for cooling, clockwise for circulating warm air)
    • Light ON/OFF (for optional LED light kit)
    • Light Dimming (press and hold light button to cycle from bright to dark, if LIGHT SWITCH is at DIMMING position)
  • Pairing: The remote control is pre-programmed. For single fan pairing in LEARN MODE, ensure the "Learn" switch on the receiver is in "O" position, power on the fan, and within 60 seconds, press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote for at least 3 seconds until three beeps are heard. Then switch the "Learn" switch to "X" to lock the pairing code. For multiple fans (up to 8 within a 7m radius), ensure all receivers have the "Learn" switch in "O", power on all fans simultaneously, and within 60 seconds, press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote for at least 3 seconds.
  • Isolation Switch: An isolation switch per fan is highly recommended for future programming, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Environmental Benefits: Ceiling fans create airflow for a cooling sensation, reducing heating costs in winter by circulating warm air. They are most effective in humid environments. Switch off when leaving a room for energy efficiency.
  • Installation Requirements: Must be installed by a licensed and qualified electrician according to local authority regulations and current wiring rules.
  • Optional Accessories:
    • LED Light Kit: Attaches to the fan motor housing.

    • Raked Ceiling Kit: For ceiling angles between 17° and 33°. Requires a minimum clearance of 200mm ("C" clearance) and uses extension rods (115mm included, 600mm and 900mm optional).

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean fan blades and motor housing regularly with a soft brush or lint-free cloth to prevent dust buildup and maintain balance. Do not use water.
  • Blade Support: When dusting blades, support them to prevent bending.
  • Drive Shaft Check: After cleaning, ensure the Drive Shaft is vertical to prevent wobbling.
  • Screw Tightening: Occasionally re-tighten fan blades/screws to prevent clicking or humming sounds, especially in climates with broad temperature and humidity ranges.
  • Suspension System Check: The fan suspension system should be checked regularly, at least once every two years.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues like improper operation, noise, or insufficient airflow. Users can perform basic checks like changing remote batteries or re-pairing the remote. Other issues requiring access to lethal voltage areas must be handled by qualified personnel.
  • Warranty Exclusions: Damage from incorrect installation, force majeure, lightning, electrical surges, water exposure, pests, moisture, solid state dimmers, or other brands of wall controllers are not covered. Normal wear and tear, including threaded components loosening or parts bending from vigorous cleaning, are also not covered.
