15 & 17-SHANK MODELS
WING FRAMES
1. Assemble wing frame by placing it on stands at
same height as main frame stands.
2. Attach a hinge on front frame member using 3/4"
x 4" x 7-1/2", U-bolts and locknuts. Do not
tighten hardware.
3. Pin wing lift lug into hinge bottom hole using 1" x
3-1/8" pin and cotter pins.
IMPORTANT: Position wing lift lug as shown.
4. Attach a hinge on rear frame member using 3/4"
x 4" x 7-1/2" U-bolts and locknuts. Do not
tighten hardware.
5. Attach wing frame hinges to main frame hinges
using 2" x 7-7/16" pins, bolts and nuts.
Note: Frame gap at rear should be 2-1/4" and at
front of machine and a 2" gap at rear measured
plate-to-plate. Tighten hardware.
6. Mount shank assemblies on rear bar only (pp.
19 - 20, 23). Also install extensions if included.
Note: Rear bar shanks are easier to mount
before rockshaft is installed.
7. Attach wing rockshaft to rear of wing frame with
bearings, grease fitting holes to front, using 3/4”
x 7-1/2” bolts, flat washers and locknuts. Do not
tighten hardware.
8. Install wheel to axle hub using lug bolts.
9. Attach turnbuckle bracket to wing frame using
5/8" U-bolt and locknut. Align with rockshaft
plate.
10. Install turnbuckle (double nut towards front of
machine) using 1" x 3" clevis pins and cotter
pins.
11. Install scraper with two 5/8" x 2" bolts and
locknuts.
12. Mount shank assemblies on wing frame
(p. 23). Tighten shank hardware.
