[SENSe:]FREQuency:GATE:POLarity {POSitive|NEGative}
[SENSe:]FREQuency:GATE:POLarity? (query form)
POSitive starts the measurement on a positive edge on the Gate In/Out BNC
or channel 1/channel 2 input, and stops the measurement on the next negative
edge. NEGative starts the measurement on a negative edge on the Gate
In/Out BNC or channel 1/channel 2 input, and stops the measurement on the
next positive edge.
CONFigure and MEASure do not change the polarity setting. Following a reset
(*RST) or instrument preset (SYSTem:PRESet or Preset key), the negative
edge is selected.
To set the polarity of the external gate signal:
// select the gate polarity and source
CONF:PER
SENS:FREQ:GATE:POL POS // set polarity
SENS:FREQ:GATE:SOUR EXT // set source
External Gate Signal Threshold
For external sources INPut[1] and INPut2 (Chan 1 and Chan 2 softkeys), a
fixed input threshold voltage must be specified in addition to the gate signal
polarity. This is done using the command:
