CAUTION
Do not attach the Collision Cell gas fitting to the nitrogen supply regulator at 80 to 100
psi (550 to 690 kPa). Pressure to the Collision Cell Gas Flow Module greater than 30
psi (210 kPa) can cause fewer collisions to be available for secondary collision
induced dissociation (CID) and poor peak shapes, as well as poor high vacuum. The
Collision Cell can use the same nitrogen supply as the regular supply (i.e. for drying
gas, nebulizer, CDS pressure) if it is the required purity (99.999%) but it must be
down-regulated to 30 psi (210 kPa).
