Starting the engine
W
Do not start engine in closed rooms!
Exhaust fumes contain carbon mon-
oxide which acts toxic when inhaled.
Keep your feet off the hoeing tools.
Protective covers mounted?
Attachments attached correctly?
Check engine oil level
Mount spark plug connector
Air filter clean?
Fuel quantity in tank sufficient?

Open fuel tap (A/29)- if present (pay at-
tention to model type!)
Cold engine:
Set the speed control lever to ”START”
(”CHOKE”
) position.
Warm engine:
Move the speed control lever to “min.” (Neu-
tral).
Pull the safety circuit lever in start posi-
tion.
Start engine from a position outside the
hazardous area

Pull the starter rope on the handle until
the starter clutch engages. Then pull hard
and fast to pull the rope all the way out. Af-
ter the start, let the rope glide back. Do not
let it snap back.
Once the engine has startet, slowly push
speed control lever to position “min.”

The hoeing tools are rotating until
the machine is in position “min.”
