Why does my Air Techniques AS10 motor try to start and then the circuit breaker trips?
    • B
      Brad GriffinAug 10, 2025
If your Air Techniques Air Compressor motor tries to start but the circuit breaker trips, it could be due to several reasons. The voltage might be too low; AS10 and AS21 models need a minimum of 108 Volts, while AS12, AS22, AS30, AS50, AS70, and AS100 models require at least 198 Volts. If the voltage is insufficient, a boost transformer installation might be required. Also, the power supply cable could be too small; refer to the SITE REQUIREMENTS Table for appropriate sizing. If neither of these resolves the issue, further assistance is needed.

What to do if my Air Techniques Air Compressor cycles with no air demand?
    • K
      Katherine VasquezAug 14, 2025
If your Air Techniques Air Compressor is cycling even when there's no air being used, it could be due to a leak either in the compressor itself or in the office air system. To check for a leak in the compressor: Disconnect the main power, drain the storage tank until you hear a 'click' at 85 PSI, close the tank outlet valve, turn the power back on, and check the pump-up time. To check for a leak in the office air system: With the AirStar on, drain the tank to 85 PSI to start the cycle. When it shuts off at 115 PSI, close the storage tank outlet valve. Wait 5 minutes, then open it. If the pressure drops, the leak is in the office air system.

    • C
      curtisboydAug 20, 2025
If your Air Techniques Air Compressor is making unusual noises, start by checking the intake filter(s). Remove the filter(s) and replace them if they appear clogged or dirty. When reinstalling, ensure the filter chamber is clean and the rubber flange on top of the filter is fully inserted into the metal cylinder.

What to do if Air Techniques AS10 cycles but doesn't build pressure?
    • P
      patelchristopherAug 25, 2025
If your Air Techniques Air Compressor isn't building up pressure to 115 psi despite cycling, try replacing the filter(s). Also, check for leaks in the compressor by closing the storage tank outlet valve and inspecting all fittings. If a leak is found, further assistance is needed. Another potential cause is the pressure switch needing adjustment. To check this, disconnect the power, drain the tank to hear a 'click' at 85 PSI, close the outlet valve, turn the power on, and check the pump-up time for your model.

How to troubleshoot a Air Techniques AS10 Air Compressor when the motor does not start?
    • B
      brownjeffAug 30, 2025
If the motor of your Air Techniques Air Compressor does not start, you should first check the circuit breaker at the main power panel. Also, inspect the 24 Volt remote connections. If the problem persists, the circuit breaker may need replacement.

What does it mean if the moisture monitor is not blue on my Air Techniques Air Compressor?
    • S
      Steven EllisSep 4, 2025
If the moisture monitor on your Air Techniques Air Compressor is not blue (it's pink or white), it could indicate a leak in the office air system or that the compressor is cycling excessively. If the monitor is pink, it suggests there is too much moisture in the system. Also, excessive air demands might be placed on the AirStar, and a larger capacity model may be required.
