2. Recording Problems.
(Unit plays back pre-recorded tapes okay, but recording not satisfactory.)
No recording possible. VU-meter does not read on record. Defective microphone. Check and replace microphone.
Inpeat jack does not xeep good contact Check and readjust input jack.
REC/PLAY slide switch does not function properly. Check record lever which actoates slide switch (SW1).
VU-meter reads okay oo record. Defective record/play head. Check record/play head; replace if aeceasary.
Defective C19. R28. Check C19. R26 ant replace.
Broken iead wire in recording circait. Check lead wires and repair.
Measure recording bias voltage. Check V4, R24,
4R23. C25, C28 and Li.
