What to do if my AKG Microphone has no sound?

  If your AKG Microphone produces no sound, there are several potential causes: 1. Ensure that the power to the mixer and/or amplifier is switched on. 2. Check that the channel or master fader on the mixer, or the volume control on the amplifier, is set to the desired level. 3. Verify the microphone is properly connected to the mixer or amplifier. 4. Confirm that the cable connectors are securely seated. 5. Inspect the cable for any damage and replace it if necessary. 6. If applicable, switch the phantom power on and check/replace the cable.

Why is my AKG C5 distorting?

  If you're experiencing distortion with your AKG Microphone, it might be due to the gain control on the mixer or transmitter module not being set correctly. Adjust the gain control to eliminate the distortion. Alternatively, the mixer input sensitivity could be too high; in this case, insert a 10 dB preattenuation pad between the microphone cable and the input.

  If the sound of your AKG Microphone becomes duller over time, it is likely that the internal or external windscreen is dirty and attenuating high frequencies. Clean the internal or external windscreen to resolve this issue.
