4. Turn the handwheel

(anti-clockwise) towards you until the needle penetrates

the fabric. Hold the fabric in place (see Fig. 5).

5. Select between the two sewing speed levels by pressing the speed switch

(see Fig. 6).

• Slower sewing (L) is suitable for more precise, demanding work

during which the machine is frequently stopped.

• Higher speed (H) is suitable for a long, uninterrupted seam.
