Improper use of batteries can cause damage to the surrounding
components, as well as injury due to leaking battery fluid.
- Never remove the outer coating from batteries, do not short-
circuit them, and do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable
batteries.
- Never expose batteries to a heat source, fire or direct sunlight.
- Only use batteries of the same type in a battery pack, and do
not mix new batteries with used ones or with rechargeable
batteries.
- Make sure that the battery poles are correctly aligned in the
battery compartment.
CAUTION!
Risk of chemical burns!
Batteries can leak, especially if they are older. There is a risk of
chemical burns if you come into direct contact with battery acid.
- Do not allow battery acid to come into contact with the skin,
eyes or mucous membranes.
- If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected
area immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical
advice straight away.
- If battery acid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse them
with cold water for at least 10 minutes. Consult a doctor as
soon as possible.
- Remove leaking batteries from the battery compartment
immediately.
