This document describes the Milre MI-5650, a smart door lock designed for residential use, offering multiple unlocking methods, security features, and user-friendly functionalities.

Function Description

The Milre MI-5650 is a high-security mechanical mortise lock with a panic release handle, allowing for easy exit by simply pushing down the lever. It supports both left and right-handed door configurations. The lock features an auto-relock function, which automatically locks the door if it is not opened after unlocking, and an auto-lock function that engages when the door is closed.

For unlocking, the MI-5650 offers a versatile four-way solution:

• Fingerprint sensor: Allows unlocking by touching a registered fingerprint.
• PIN code: Supports a random security coding function, enabling users to enter random numbers before their actual PIN to prevent others from guessing the code.
• Card key: Unlocks the door by touching a registered card key (ISO card, Tag key, Mobile tag key).
• Override key: Provides a manual unlocking option in case of electronic failure or battery depletion.

The lock includes a volume control with 8 levels and a one-touch mute function. It also incorporates several security and maintenance features:

• Low battery indicator and alarm: A three-step level indicator and an alarm notify users when battery replacement is needed.
• Trespass alarm function: An alarm sounds if the door is opened by force.
• Mischief & hacking prevention: After multiple incorrect entry attempts (PIN/card), an alarm sounds, and all lock functions are suspended for three minutes.
• Disable function: Allows users to automatically delete old PIN code or card key information when registering new ones.
• Double locking: A button on the back assembly sets a double locking mode for enhanced security.

Usage Features

Language Selection: The device supports English and Chinese, selectable via specific button combinations.

Registration and Deletion:

• PIN Code: Up to 12 digits can be registered. Registration and deletion are done using the [N] button (normal mode) or [S] button (safety mode) on the back assembly.
• Card Key: Up to 50 EA (cards) can be registered.
• Fingerprint: Up to 100 EA (fingerprints) can be registered.
• Remote Key: Registration and deletion are performed using the [] button.

Door Opening Methods:

• From outside: Fingerprint, PIN code, card key, or override key.
• From inside: Panic release handle (push down lever) or manual lock button.

Auto/Manual Lock Mode:

• Auto-lock mode (A): The door automatically locks after closing.
• Manual lock mode (M): The door is locked by pressing the manual lock button after closing.

Emergency Power Supply: In case of battery depletion, an external 9V battery can be contacted to the emergency power supply terminal on the front assembly to operate and unlock the door.

Mobile Access (Optional): With the communication pack and mobile app, users can unlock the door via their smartphone. This feature also allows for temporary key issuance and checking access history.

Safety Mode: This mode restricts access to registration and deletion functions, requiring a master PIN code or fingerprint for changes.

Volume Control: Adjust the beep sound level from 1 to 8, or mute it completely.

Maintenance Features

Battery Management:

• The lock uses 4 AA alkaline batteries.
• Battery replacement is indicated by a blinking red light on the front assembly.
• It is recommended to check batteries every 6 months for leaks/cleanliness.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
• Do not expose batteries to heat or water.

Cleaning:

• Do not clean the product with flammable materials like alcohol, benzene, or thinners.
• If exposed to water or liquids, wipe with a soft cloth and remove batteries if moisture penetrates.

Troubleshooting:

• If the product generates harmful gases or smoke, remove batteries immediately.
• If the door lock is disassembled or altered by unauthorized persons, the warranty may be void.
• Avoid forcing the front cover or closing the door with the deadbolt in the locked position to prevent damage.
• The product may be damaged if installed on a door with heavy dew condensation.
