Why is my Allweiler Water Pump not pumping?
    • T
      Tara SpencerAug 9, 2025
If the Allweiler Water Pump isn't pumping, several factors could be at play. Start by ensuring that the transport and sealing cover are removed. Then, check for any obstructions: verify that the supply/suction pipe isn't blocked by a fitting and that the pressure line is clear. Also, make sure the supply/suction pipe is properly bled and completely filled. Air pockets can also cause issues, so inspect for those. Confirm the pump is running in the correct rotation by swapping any two phases on the motor. Lastly, a dirty pump can be the culprit, so dismount and clean it. Also, check the packing gland and loosen it if it’s bolted too tightly. Clean the supply/suction pipe, pump or suction strainer if they are blocked or encrusted. Seal any sources where air is being sucked in.

Why is the pumping rate irregular or too high in my Allweiler Water Pump?
    • P
      Paul VargasAug 20, 2025
An irregular or excessively high pumping rate in your Allweiler Water Pump can stem from several causes. If the pumped liquid temperature is too high, causing cavitation, increase the pump inlet pressure or lower the temperature. Also, clean the suction pipe and any strainers and filters if they are blocked. Ensure the pressure-side fitting is opened wide enough. If hydraulic parts are dirty, clotted, or encrusted, dismount and clean them. If parts are worn, replace them. Also, compare the required motor speed with the specifications on the pump nameplate. If the speed is too high with viscous liquid, reduce the motor speed if speed control is available.

Why is the pumping rate insufficient in my Allweiler Water Pump?
    • D

Insufficient pumping rate in your Allweiler Water Pump can arise from various issues. If there's an excessive amount of gas causing cavitation, check the cable gland, clean or enlarge the filter, and enlarge the supply/suction pipe cross-section. Replace the shaft seal if it's leaky. If the pumped liquid temperature is too high, causing stator expansion, check and adjust the liquid temperature, cool the pump, and ensure the rotor moves freely; replace the stator if necessary. Also, check the pump for foreign particles, and remove them if present. If solids content or grain size is too large, reduce the speed and install a strainer with the permitted mesh size in the suction pipe. Flush or clean the pump to address solids sediment from long standstills. If there's adhesion between the rotor...
