Header drive chain broken Repair or replace chain
Drive Sprocket loose or broken Tighten set screws, replace key
or sprocket
Header feeder / pinch belts
will not turn
Safety switch is depressed

Pull safety switch out in dash or
on head
CORN HEAD MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
Header speed control turned
off
Turn on header speed control
Threshing cylinder turned off Turn on threshing cylinder
Jammed by rock, stalks, etc. Turn manually to remove plug
Drive sprocket worn out Replace sprocket
Quick coupler unplugged Plug in quick coupler ends
Chain broken Replace chain
Gathering belts, snapping
rolls, and auger will not turn
Coupling at motor broken Replace as necessary
STANDARD HEAD MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
Reel bound by plant material Turn off machine. Clean off
manually
Quick coupler not plugged in all
the way
Plug hydraulic hoses into quick
attach sockets
Quick coupler closed Open ports (pull lever to front)
Drive sprocket worn out Replace sprocket
Reel will not turn
Key sheared Repair as necessary
Reel turning wrong direction Quick coupler ports reversed Pressure side into red port
Reel does not lift Quick coupler not plugged in Plug hydraulic hoses into quick
coupler sockets
Guard or sickle sections
binding
Replace or repair guard or blade
Cutting bar plugged Turn of machine. Remove plug
manually.
Cutting bar does not move
Hold down clips too tight Loosen clips
Clutch not engaged Turn clutch switch on
Belts plugged between
concave lip and belt
Turn off machine. Remove plug
manually
Conveyor belt is loose Tighten belt (see conveyor
adjustment)
Lacing, pin, or belt broken Repair or replace lacing, pin, or
belt
Header conveyor belt will not
turn
Header drive chain broken Repair or replace chain
Header conveyor belt will not

Key in sprocket sheared Repair or replace as necessary
THRESHING CYLINDER MECHANICAL PROBLEMS
Cylinder plugged with material Turn off machine. Remove
manually
Cable broken or frozen Replace control cable
Threshing cylinder will not
turn
Bearing failure (worn, frozen) Replace bearings
