To send another AlphaSmart file to the Mac, it is not neces-
sary to quit AlphaBeam and rerun it, just return to Step 3.
Tips on using AlphaBeam
For Macs that have a built-in IrDA transceiver, make sure
that the Infrared Control Panel has been set to IrDA.
The text from the AlphaSmart will be pasted in the active
program or application on the computer. If AlphaBeam is
the front most program then the text from the AlphaSmart
will be placed in the Clipboard. In order to see the text, you
must open another program and do a Paste which will place
the Clipboard contents into your program.
You can arrange your windows so that when AlphaBeam is
in the background (not the active program) you can watch
the progress indicator show how the transfer is progressing.
