CONNECTIONS
4. After the 3518 is securely mounted, following the
installation step, connect the pre-out from your compo-
nent to the input of the 3518.
2. Connect the speaker output leads to the speakers.
3. Connect the speaker input connector with the speaker
output connector from the 3518.

Connect
the
ignition
lead
of
the
3518
to
the
ignition
terminal.
(When
the
ignition
is
turned
off,
the
power
to
the
3518
will
be
turned
off
automatically).
5.
Secure
the
ground
wire
to
a
clean
and
bare
metal
spot.
6.
Connect
the
battery
lead
directly
to
the
battery
terminal.
Note:
Use
an
already
installed
screw
on
the
metal
part
of
the
car
(marked
“x”
in
the
drawing)
to
secure
the
ground
lead.

For
safety,
Alpine
3518
amplifier
features
a
special
protection
measure.
If
you
are
using
two
-or
more
amplifiers,
this
measure
will
prevent
unsafe
levels
of
current
from
flowing
to
other
components,
such
as
the
other
amplifier(s),
Alpine
3015
or
3313
Equalizer
that
you
may
have
in
your
system.
If
you
have
two
or
more
of
the
Alpine
3518
amplifiers,
be
sure
to
leave
all
the
fuses
intact
in
your
first
amplifier.
From
the
other
amplifiers
remove
every
3-ampere
fuse.
They
are
for
ignition
and
battery
(1).

But,
do
not
remove
other
fuses
for
battery
(2).

4. Die Zindleitung des 3518 an die Zundung anschlie-
Ben.
(Mit
dem
Abstellen
der
Zindung
wird
dann
automatisch auch die 3518 ausgeschaltet.)
5.
Die
Masseleilung
an
einem
sauberen,
uniackierten
Metallteil
befestigen.
6.
Die
Batterieleitung
direkt
an
den
Pluspol
der
Batterie
anschlieBen.
Hinweis:
Die
Masseleitung
an
einem
der
Metallteile
des
Fahrzeugs
befestigen.
Benutzen
Sie
eine
der
bereits
an
der
Karosse-
rie
vorhandenen
Schrauben
(in
der
obigen
Zeichnung
mit
“te”
gekennzeichnet).

Sicherungsmassnahmen bei Verwendung von 2
oder Mehreren Endstufen
Bei Verwendung von zwei oder mehreren Verstarkern
kann durch eine zusatzliche MaBnahme {ur den Fall des
Auftretens von Uberstrom etwaiger Beschadigung der
angeschlossenen Bausteine, wie z.B. weitere Verstarker,
Entzerrer 3015, 3313 vorgebeugt werden. Bei Verwen-
dung von zwei oder mehreren Endstufen 3518 in der
ersten Endstufe unbedingt alle der Sicherungen belassen.
Aus den weiteren Endstufen die 3-Ampere-Sicherungen
entnehmen. Diese dienen fiir die Zindschiofleitung und
Batterie (1). (S. Zeichnung.) Keine der anderen Sicherun-
gen entnehmen, da diese .fir Batterie (2).
