Setting the Quick Search ON and OFF

Press FUNC./SETUP.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select QUICK
SEARCH, and then press
/ENTER.

Turn the Rotary encoder to select ON or OFF, and
then press
/ ENTER.

Press FUNC./SETUP to return to normal mode.
Pressing during the procedure will return to the previous mode.
If no operation is performed for 60 seconds, the unit will return to
normal mode automatically.
Operation is not required during Radio, HD Radio reception, CD or
CD Changer mode.
This unit cannot receive HD Radio signals (digital terrestrial radio). In
order to activate the digital radio functions described below, an optional
HD Radio Tuner module must be connected through the Ai-NET bus.
iTunes Tagging lets you tag songs you hear on HD Radio stations with
your new CDA-118M and then preview, buy, and download them later
from your iTunes Tagged playlist the next time you sync your iPod.
If the unit is connected to a Tagging compatible device, you can use the
iTunes Tagging function. For details, refer to the Owner’s Manual of the
Tagging compatible device.
The frequency area can be changed by setting MODE1 or MODE2 in
Tuner mode. For details, refer to
“Setting TUNER mode (TUNER)”
(page 24).
Listening to Radio
HD Radio signals can be received if the HD Radio TUNER MODULE
(TUA-T500HD or TUA-T550HD) is connected. While receiving HD
Radio signals, the unit can automatically switch between the analog and
digital signal.

When an optional HD Radio tuner module is connected, the FM1,
FM2 can be selected.

Controllable With Remote Control
This unit can be controlled with an optional Alpine remote
control. For details, consult your Alpine dealer.
Point the optional remote control transmitter at the remote
control sensor.
