Preparing the
contact grease
The contact grease is a mix of Vaseline and Contactal grease.
CONTACT GREASE = 50% Vaseline + 50% Contactal grease

The table below shows the steps for preparing the contact surfaces :

Verify the orientation of the power
supply terminals using the
diagram of the apparatus.

Remove the temporary screws
from the X1 plate.

3 Sand with fine emery cloth.
4 Remove all resulting dust.
5 Coat with CONTACT GREASE.
6 Wipe with a clean cloth to avoid
leaving even a tiny particle.
7 Use the A400 sandpaper, and
sand on top of the grease.
