Winterizing of Potable Water System with Truma Combi Eco Heating and Water
Heater
Before beginning the winterizing procedures, make sure the ALTO is level.
1. Turn off Truma water heater by maintaining the round button on the control panel
pressed for 5 seconds.
2. Drain holding tanks (see Holding Tanks). Rinse by filling again with water and draining.
3. Turn water pump off using ‘PUMP’ switch ‘OFF’ on Monitor Panel (photo F-1.3).
Indicator light must be off.
4. Drain potable water tank by opening the exterior valve (photo E-1) located behind the
axle, between the wheel on the driver side and the chassis (or close to the dump valves
depending on the model). When empty, close valve.
5. Drain Combi water heater by setting the four valves in this order:
→ F and A SERIES: diagram O-1, photos O-2.1, O-2.2, O-2.3 and O-2.4
→ R SERIES: diagram O-3, photos O-4.1, O-4.2, O-4.3 and O-4.4
• 2 white bypass valves (1 and 2) TO VERTICAL POSITION,
• 1 chromed purge valve on red pipe (O-4.3) TO VERTICAL POSITION
• 1 combined surge/purge valve with yellow tab on brass body (O-4.4) to help
empty the water heater, open by pulling the tab up vertical on its brass base.
