What to do if Ambient Weather WS-5000-RAIN sensor not communicating?

  If your Ambient Weather Weather Station's outdoor sensor array isn't communicating with the display tablet, it might be due to interference, reception issues, or recent battery changes. First, reset the sensor array by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds after opening it with a paperclip. Then, remove the batteries, wait one minute while covering the solar panel, and reinsert them. Resync the tablet with the sensor array about 10 feet away. The LED should flash every 5 seconds. If it doesn't, replace the batteries, checking their polarity. If the sensor flashes, power cycle the tablet by removing AC power, waiting 10 seconds, and then reconnecting it.

  If the temperature sensor on your Ambient Weather Weather Station reads too high during the daytime, ensure the sensor array isn't near heat sources like buildings, pavement, walls, or AC units. You can also use the calibration feature to adjust for radiant heat issues.
