What to do if Ambient Weather Station thermo-hygrometer is not reporting to the console?
    • D
      Donald HamptonJul 27, 2025
If the sensor communication is lost and dashes appear on the display console, try to reacquire the signal referring to section 4.8.7. Consider that the maximum line of sight communication range is 300 feet, but typically it is 100 feet under most conditions. Moving the sensor assembly closer to the display console might help.

Why do indoor and outdoor temperatures not agree on my Ambient Weather Station?
    • H
      heidiaustinAug 3, 2025
Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors should agree within 3.6 °F, given that the sensor accuracy is ± 1.8 °F. You can also use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor temperature to a known source.

What to do if indoor and outdoor humidity readings don't match on Ambient Weather Station?
    • U
      ubyrdAug 8, 2025
Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize because of signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor humidity sensors should agree within 10 %, considering that the sensor accuracy is ± 5 %. You may also use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor humidity to a known source.

How to prevent Ambient Weather Station temperature sensor from reading too high?
    • E
      Eric KelleyAug 14, 2025
Ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area, ideally on a north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield, such as the one available at http://www.ambientweather.com/amwesrpatean.html.
