Setting Suction
• BeginpumpingatthehighestcomfortableSUCTIONsettingforyou.
• IncreasesuctionbyturningSUCTIONdialtotheright(clockwise)untilreachingmaximum
comfortlevel.
• Ifdiscomfortisfeltinnipples(s)orbreast(s),decreaseSUCTION. If discomfort is felt at all
suctionsettings,turnpumpoff,insertangerbetweenbreast(s)andbreastange(s)to
breaksuctionandremovebreastange(s)frombreast(s).Discontinuepumpingandcontact
ahealthcareprovider.
Setting Speed
• StartwithSPEEDdialturnedclockwisetothefastestsetting.
• Oncemilkisowing(let-down),turnSPEEDdialcounter-clockwisetoaslowersetting
to drain the breasts faster.
• WhenmilkowslowsturnSPEEDdialclockwisetohelptriggeranotherlet-down.
• Atnextlet-down,turnSPEEDdialcounter-clockwisetoaslowersetting.
• Repeatstepsasmilkowchangestopumpmoremilk.
Turning Pump Off
• Whennishedpumping,turnSUCTIONdialallthewaycounter-clockwisetoturnpumpoff.
• Afterpumpisoff,ifnecessary,insertangerbetweenbreast(s)andbreastange(s)to
break suction.
• Removebreastanges(s)frombreast(s).
Pumping Tips
Pumping Time
Talktoyourhealthcareproviderabouthowlongyoushouldpump.Inmostcases,
10 to 15 minutes per breast is suggested.
Checking Breast Flange Fit
Thestandard-size(25.0mm)breastangetssomemotherswell.Ifpumpingcausesdiscomfort,
evenonalowsuctionsetting,youmayneedadifferentbreastangeorinsertsize.Agoodbreast
angetmaymakepumpingmorecomfortableandmayexpressmoremilk.
