3.5.6 Au to matic en gine cut-off
Ma chines are equipped with a safety en gine cut-off. The en gine
switches-off au to mat i cally if
• the oil pres sure is too low
• the film of lu bri ca tion oil is un sta ble as a re sult of
• ex ces sively high oil tem per a ture
• in cor rect baisc vis cos ity
• di lu tion of the oil by fuel or wa ter
• the lu bri cat ing oil fil ter is blocked
• a leak age in the oil re lief valve
• leak ages in pipes and seals
• the oil pumps and bear ings are worn
If the en gine cuts-out be cause the sup ply of lu bri cat ing oil is in -
suf fi cient, pro ceed as fol lows:
• Lo cate the fault and have it rec ti fied.
• Press the le ver few sec onds.
• Start the en gine.
3.5.7 Air fil ter main te nance in di ca tor
The en gines are equipped with a main te nance in di ca tor for air fil -
ters. In case of pol lu tion of the fil ter el e ment the rub ber bel low
con tracts by underpressure.
In this case, switch-off the en gine and clean or re place the air-fil -
ter.
If the oil level is too low or the ma chine is tilted too
much, it can lead to an ad mix ture of air and thus to a
loss of vis cos ity.
