3.6.4 Emer gency start
• Set the fuel valve (1) to «O» (open).
• Set the RPM le ver (2) to «RUN» (full throt tle).
• Turn the ig ni tion key to the «I» po si tion. If the start ing pro cess
does n't con tinue within 10 sec onds, it must be re peated.
• Slowly pull the starter han dle (3) un til you can feel re sis tance (I.)
• Slowly, by hand, re turn the starter han dle (3) back to its orig i -
nal po si tion (II.).
• Press the de com pres sion le ver (4). When the en gine starts,
the le ver re turns to its orig i nal po si tion by it self.
• Pull the starter han dle (3) strongly and quickly with both
hands.

Important
Don't let the starter han dle (3) spring back against the
en gine. Guide the start ing cord by hand back to its
orig i nal po si tion to pre vent starter dam age.

Never per form an emer gency start with the bat tery dis -
con nected. This may dam age reg u la tors.
