NOTE- A stable surface is for the correct placement of the patient on the mattress.
NOTE- Once the Prone Position Mode is selected, it will start the Prone Position timer
automatically to show caregivers how long the patient have been positioned in prone
position.
2. Patients shoulders should be aligned with the 4
th
cell, the Shoulder Support cell.
3. Support the head when turning the patient into the Prone Position.
4. Hyperextension of the neck should be avoided to provide a comfortable posture.
NOTE- A special design of the foam in the head section to relieve the pressure to the ear of
patient.
5. Avoid any displacement or winding of tubes or lines.
6. Make sure the patients shoulders are still aligned with the 4th cell, the Shoulder Support cell.
7. Select a personalized repositioning schedule based on the professional assessment of the
patient’s condition by the competent clinician.
2.5 Reposition Patients Head when in Prone Position Not available for Homecare Environment
1. Select Head Reposition Mode to provide a firm and stable surface for the following procedures.
2. The air cell underneath the base cover will start inflating to lift the patient's shoulders and chest
upward.
3. A beep sound indicates the air cell underneath the base cover is fully inflated.
4. Make sure the head and neck are supported when deflating the air cells in the head section.
5. Reposition the patients head.
6. Turn the 3 knobs in the head section counter-clockwise to re-inflate the air cells.
7. Carefully place the patients head on the fully inflated air cells.
8. Hyperextension of the neck should be avoided to provide a comfortable posture.
NOTE- A special design of the foam in the head section to relieve the pressure to the ear of
patient.
9. Avoid any displacement or winding of tubes or lines.
10. To cancel this function, select the Head Reposition mode again to cancel it and the air cell
underneath the base cover will start to deflate slowly.
NOTEHead Reposition Mode will automatically turn off after 10 minutes.
11. Make sure the patient’s shoulders are still aligned with the 4
th
cell, the Shoulder Support cell.
12. The mattress will return to its previous therapy mode automatically to avoid long term
pressurization of tissue.
