INTERPRETING TEST RESULTS
Interpreting Basic Diagnotics: ‘SoC’ screen
The state of charge (‘SOC’) indicates the level of battery charge.
1. Graphical section: SoC % indicated numerically and by the analog fan; low charge or overcharge warning icons.
2. Main data section: Measured voltage at the battery
3. Reference and prompts section: Prompt to advance to next screen; rated value
If SoC is below 25%, the
(Undercharge) icon illuminates and the tester beeps to indicate that the battery should
be charged before returning to service.
The tester applies a correction factor to the measured capacity results of all batteries with a SoC below 100%. The
purpose of the correction factor is to adjust the measured value to be equivalent to the expected value if the battery were
fully charged.
For maximum accuracy, ensure that all accessory loads are turned off before starting a battery test. Accessory loads
such as lights or fans will depress battery voltage and could lead to an over-correction of measured results.
Interpreting Battery Life Test Results: ‘BL’ screen
