8. Maintenance and service
ARIS actuators of the ExTensor series have permanent lubrication and are basically maintenance-free. We recommend carrying out
a function test and a visual inspection once a year.
Repairs: No repairs or mechanical processing of any kind may be carried out on the gap surfaces of the ameproof gaps. In
particular, the cover/housing gap surfaces must not be changed.
Non-observance can lead to serious accidents and damage to property - The ATEX/IECEx
Approval for the device expires in the event of non-compliance or misuse.
Cleaning
Only clean the actuator with a damp cloth. Never clean with a high-pressure cleaner.
• Pressure proof encapsulation
• Before opening, ensure that there is no gas and no voltage
• Joint surfaces must not show any damage or contamination
• The hood must not tilt during assembly
Regular maintenance work:
• The type and scope of the tests correspond to the relevant national regulations (e.g.
IEC/EN 60079-17).
• The deadlines are calculated in such a way that any defects that are to be expected
be identied in a timely manner.
