INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
The FT 74 UHT Processing unit is of hygienic design and is intended for use in a food
processing laboratory. The "mobile" feature offers a major advantage in that the unit
can be stored away when not in use but then can be easily moved to a convenient site
for operation.
A permanent mains electricity supply with a good earth is also required. This should
be protected by a Residual Current Device. Details of the voltage and current
requirements are given in the section Connection to Services on page 29.
The unit should be positioned close to a supply of potable water and a drain as a
continuous supply of cold water is required for cooling.
Chemicals such as caustic soda solution or phosphoric acid are required for the
cleaning cycle. Suitable storage facilities should be accessible.
