12. Increase the flow rate of feed from the feed tank to the heat exchanger by
turning up the feed pump frequency. Check that the system pressure indicator
increases correspondingly.
13. Check that there are no leaks and increase the set point on the temperature
controller to 150
o
C. Allow sufficient time for the temperature of the water
leaving the heating section of the heat exchanger to reach 150°C.
14. Ensure that the temperature controller in the hot water circulator console is
modulating the power to the heating element in the circulator to hold the set
point (T1) temperature steady at 150°C.
15. Press the HW Circulator ‘OFF’ on the control console. Continue pumping
water from the feed tank to the exchanger until the temperature (T1) falls to
80°C. Stop the feed pump. Allow whole unit time to cool. Check there are no
leaks at any pipe connections and inspect the gaskets between the plates of the
heat exchanger for leaks. The unit is now ready for operation.
