The SC-350/SC-360 are universal, compact desktop machines designed for counting coins and tokens. The SC-350 features a manual coin tray, while the SC-360 is equipped with an automatic coin tray. These machines are capable of counting coins and tokens with a diameter up to 38 mm after a minor adjustment.
Function Description:
The primary function of these machines is to count coins and tokens accurately. Users place the items to be counted into the coin tray, set the diameter selector and thickness selector to the desired positions, and then initiate the counting process. Once counted, the coins are routed to a coin outlet where they can be collected in bags or tubes, depending on the fitted attachment. Any rejected coins are directed to a separate reject cup.
The machines offer two main modes of operation: continuous counting and batch counting.
- Continuous Counting: In this mode, the machine counts coins continuously, and the display updates in real-time with the total number of coins counted. If no coin passes the coin sensor for five seconds, the rotating disc will automatically reverse slightly before attempting to restart. If no coins pass during the subsequent five seconds, the disc stops automatically, indicating either an empty tray or a blocked coin flow. This automatic stop function can be bypassed if desired.
- Batch Counting: This mode allows the machine to count coins up to a predefined batch stop and then stop. There are seven fixed batch stops available: 20, 40, 50, 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, and 5,000. Additionally, a temporary batch stop can be set between 5 and 1,000,000 coins. The fixed batch stops are programmable and will be retained in memory even when the machine is switched off. When a batch stop is reached, the machine stops, and an indicator flashes. If the batch count is incomplete, the partial batch register can be viewed.
The machine is equipped with a serial interface, allowing it to be controlled from a computer, which means it can also be used as a dispenser.

Usage Features:
- Control Panel: The control panel includes keys for Start/Stop, Quantity (Q), Memory (M), Accumulator (ACC), Batch (B), and Clear (C).
- Start/Stop: Initiates and halts the counting process.
- Quantity (Q): Used to select and display fixed batch stops or to adjust a temporary batch stop.
- Memory (M): Adds the current count to the memory and resets the display to zero.
- Accumulator (ACC): Displays the total contents stored in the memory. A green indicator above ACC lights up if data is stored in memory.
- Batch (B): Shows the number of coins counted since the last reset or the last completed batch stop.
- Clear (C): Resets the display.
- Memory Retention: The memory retains data even when the machine is switched off.
- Delay Function: Keys affecting register contents (like memory and reset) have a built-in time delay to prevent accidental inputs.
- Adjustable Diameter and Thickness Selectors: Allow for precise setting to accommodate various coin and token sizes.
- Token Counting: Can be adjusted to count tokens up to 38 mm in diameter by modifying internal components (removing a cover plate and adjusting a screw).
- Error Handling: The machine automatically stops if a coin exit is blocked. Instructions are provided for clearing blocked coins.
- Automatic Stop Function Bypass: The automatic stop function can be temporarily disabled.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- The machine should be cleaned daily to prevent dirt accumulation, which can lead to rejected coins.
- The coin detector should be wiped with a soft brush or cloth.
- A vacuum cleaner can be used to remove dust from the rotating disc.
- The coin track should be cleaned regularly for optimal performance using a brush or plastic scraper.
- The out-feed belt may require cleaning with alcohol or a mild degreaser.
- Out-feed Belt Exchange: Instructions are provided for replacing the out-feed belt, which involves setting the diameter selector, opening the inspection cover, raising the feed mechanism, and then removing and replacing the belt.
- Servicing Interval: The machine may indicate when service is due by flashing a decimal point on the display or showing a "Call for service" message. Service should be performed by an authorized SUZOHAPP representative.
- No Lubrication Required: All bearings are pre-lubricated, and adding lubricant will damage them.
- Safety Precautions: Emphasizes disconnecting power before cleaning or servicing to avoid electric shock. Warnings are also provided regarding moving parts, sharp edges, and the risk of tipping during bagging. Ear protectors are recommended during operation due to noise levels.
