TM902 Telephony Modem
User’s Guide
Get ready to experience the Internet’s express lane! Whether you’re checking out
streaming media, downloading new software, checking your email, or talking with
friends on the phone, the Touchstone TM902 Telephony Modem brings it all to you
up to eight times faster than standard DOCSIS 2.0 cable modems. All while pro-
viding toll quality Voice over IP telephone service.
The Touchstone Telephony Modem provides an Ethernet connection for use with
either a single computer or home/office Local Area Network (LAN). The Touchstone
Telephony Modem provides for up to two separate lines of telephone service.
Installation is simple and your cable company will provide assistance to you for any

      If your Arris Telephony Modem isn't connecting to the internet, note that establishing a connection can take over 30 minutes, especially during peak hours. Ensure your modem remains plugged into AC power and connected to the cable system. Check that the Power and Online lights are on, and the Link light is either on or blinking. If the Power light blinks for more than 30 minutes, contact your cable company. Also, verify your cable connections are tight and the coax cable isn't pinched or sharply bent, as this can cause connection issues. If splitters are present, remove them and connect the modem directly to the outlet.

      If your Arris Telephony modem is plugged in but the Power light is off, check all power connections to ensure the power cord is firmly plugged in at both ends. For Model TM902S, verify the rear panel power switch is in the ON position. If the modem is plugged into a power strip, make sure the strip is switched on. Avoid using an outlet controlled by a wall switch, if possible. Test the outlet by plugging in another device. Finally, check the fuse or circuit breaker panel.

If not, ensure the modem is plugged in and the outlet has power. 2. If the Power LED is lit, check the Online LED. If it's not lit, verify the coax connection at both the modem and the wall. If the connections are secure and you still lack a dial tone, contact your service provider. 3. If the Online LED is lit, check the Telephone (Tel 1 or Tel 2) LED.
