  If the Asco transfer switch doesn't transfer the load to the emergency source after the generator starts, ensure the generator output circuit breaker is closed and the generator frequency is at least 57 Hz. Wait for the Transfer to Emergency Delay (0 to 5 min.) to time out. For immediate transfer, press the Bypass Time Delay button. If Motor Load Transfer is active, wait for in-phase condition.

  If the Asco switch does not transfer the load to the normal source when normal power returns or when the Transfer Test button is released, wait for the Retransfer to Normal Delay (1 sec. to 30 min.) to time out. For immediate re-transfer, press the Bypass Time Delay button. If Motor Load Transfer is active, wait for in-phase condition.

  If the Motor Load Transfer feature is not operating when transfer does not occur with the voltmeter needle near 0 volts, press and hold the Transfer Test button. The load should transfer to the emergency source when the meter needle is near 0 volts.

  If the generator set (Gen-Set) does not start when the Transfer Test button is pressed and held for 15 seconds or when the normal source fails, hold the Transfer Test button for 15 seconds. Alternatively, the outage must be long enough to allow for the 1 or 3 second Momentary Normal Source Outage Delay plus engine cranking and starting time.
